Senior Learning Disability Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Learning Disability Nurse to join our Intensive Support Team as a Clinical Lead. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dedicated team of professionals who are passionate about providing high-quality care to individuals with learning disabilities.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership to the Intensive Support Team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to service users.
- Develop and implement evidence-based interventions to support individuals with learning disabilities and their families.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to reduce avoidable admissions to hospital and promote community-based care.
- Utilize sound clinical and leadership skills to ensure an evidenced-based approach to delivering specialized clinical interventions.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with service users, carers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Registered Nurse Learning Disability Nurse with NMC registration, including post-registration experience.
- Accredited behavioural qualification at level 5 or above, or willingness to work towards.
- High level of communication skills (written and verbal) including an ability to communicate and work in settings in which the atmosphere may be highly emotive, abusive, or hostile.
- Ability to communicate sensitive information to service users, carers, and colleagues.
Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health, and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria, and Sefton area.
