Learning Mentor for Complex Needs

We are seeking a Learning Mentor to support pupils with complex educational needs, communication difficulties, and challenging behaviour at Amco Services International.

About the School

Amco Services International is a leading provider of education services, offering a supportive and personalised education programme for pupils aged 5-17 in a small class setting with mixed gender classrooms.

As a Learning Mentor, you will play a vital role in supporting our pupils to achieve their full potential. You will be responsible for mentoring, supporting, and inspiring learners through curriculum-based learning, preparation of learning materials, and daily reports on progress.

We welcome applications from individuals with at least two years' experience in a SEN environment, strong English and Maths skills, and a desire to support students outside of a mainstream environment. In return, we offer a competitive salary of £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including enhanced maternity and paternity pay, life assurance, and fully funded training and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mentoring and supporting learners in the classroom, on home tuition, and outreach, and through outdoor activities
  • Assisting with learning material preparation and contributing to the delivery of learning objectives with a focus on behavioural management
  • Reporting on learners' progress and barriers to learning
  • Interacting with parents/caregivers on a regular basis
