About the Role

We are seeking a Mechanical Integrity Engineer with experience in pressure vessel design to join our team.

As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of pressure vessels through rigorous calculations and technical file preparation for submission to Notified Bodies.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Verifying the integrity of pressure vessels and manufactured items
  • Producing calculations and technical documentation
  • Identifying vessels falling under the Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU (PED)
  • Evaluating Hazard analysis, Essential Safety Requirements (ESR), and Particular Material Appraisal (PMA)
  • Benchmarking and evaluating drawing work by less experienced team members
  • Approving and checking details on production drawings
  • Responsible for design calculations, analysis, and evaluation
  • Carrying out hand calculations
  • Reviewing updates to pressure vessel standards and ensuring compliance

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need a mechanical engineering degree and previous experience in mechanical design engineering. You should also have proficiency in PD5500, BS EN 13445 or ASME VIII vessel design standards, as well as experience with both PV Elite and hand calculations.
