Role Overview

FM Conway is seeking a skilled Traffic Management Specialist to join our Traffic Light division based in Stevenage.

As a Traffic Management Specialist, you will work as part of a team to carry out a range of services including setting up temporary traffic lights, installing, maintaining and removing traffic management. You will be entitled to a wide range of benefits, a competitive salary and a weekend uplift of £10 per shift.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting up temporary traffic lights as required
  • Assisting with the diversion of traffic
  • Maintaining and removing the traffic lights within the required time scale
  • Managing the traffic flow at the temporary traffic lights, ensuring public are abiding by lights
  • Working closely with management and crews and taking instructions from the management team
  • Ensuring that sites are safe and carrying out on site assessments
  • Taking appropriate action in the event of an emergency, particularly ensuring the appropriate people are notified
  • To be on call, out of hours on a rota basis if required

Required Skills and Experience

To be considered for this role, you will have knowledge of traffic management operation, hold a valid CSCS card and at least one of the following traffic management tickets - Lantra –, M1/2, M5, M6,12AB Operatives and LTMO / TMF.
