Theatres Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Theatres Team Leader to join our team at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust. As a key member of our perioperative care team, you will be responsible for leading a team of practitioners and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Senior Team Leaders/Theatre Manager in managing a team of practitioners to develop and maintain high standards of perioperative care.
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day operational and resource management of the clinical area.
- Lead specific areas of professional practice as delegated by the Senior Team Leaders.
- Act as a leader, delegating tasks and supervising the standard of care delivered by junior staff.
- Take responsibility for operational and financial resource management.
- Deputise for the Senior Team Leaders in their absence.
In conjunction with the Professional Development Team, you will assist with the Training & Development Programmes for the following groups of staff:
- Preceptorship of Newly Qualified Practitioners.
- Training & Development programmes for Registered Practitioners.
- Return to Practice staff.
- Mentorship of Nursing/ODP students.
- Mentorship/Training & Development programmes for Support Workers.

To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Professional qualification as a Registered Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner.
- Relevant clinical experience in the Operating Department.
- Demonstrated commitment and ability to lead a team and support staff.
