At GLL, we're seeking a talented Children's Activity Coordinator to join our team at The Sands Centre. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for delivering engaging and safe activities for children aged 5+ years old.

Our Children's Activity Coordinator will create a fun and stimulating environment, using the facilities around them to lead a mix of arts & crafts and sporting activities. This may include football, basketball, swimming, gymnastics, trampolining, and bouncy castles, depending on availability.

As a Children's Activity Coordinator, you'll encourage an environment of respect and friendship amongst the children, who may come from diverse backgrounds. You'll also play a key role in assisting with children's birthday parties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver structured activities for a group of children.
  • Ensure birthday parties meet the expectations of the birthday child and their guests.
  • Encourage children with appropriate use of praise.

Requirements:

  • You should have a minimum Level 2 in Childcare / Play Work or a Level 2 coaching qualification and be able to respond to both group and individual needs.
  • It will be beneficial to have knowledge of Ofsted and Health & Safety legislation as well as the qualities that parents and guardians expect from childcare provision.
  • You'll be friendly and approachable, imaginative, creative, and a positive role model to the children you supervise.
