About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Junior Sous Chef to join our team at Cail Bruich, a Michelin-starred restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for supporting the Head Chef and Senior Sous Chef in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operation of the kitchen and lead the team to deliver high-quality food and exceptional customer service.
  • Train and develop the team to maintain high standards and ensure consistency in food quality and presentation.
  • Effectively manage costs and maintain a solid understanding of budgets and KPIs.
  • Maintain a high level of compliance with food safety, risk assessments, and health and safety procedures.
  • Build strong relationships with the team and use these to guide and motivate them towards delivering unforgettable experiences.
About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a genuine passion for great food and at least two years of experience working as a CDP in a high-quality, busy kitchen.
  • Has a track record of delivering exceptional dishes in a time-pressured environment.
  • Takes their role seriously and can communicate effectively with the team.
  • Is an honest and hardworking team player who can be flexible and adaptable.
  • Demonstrates great attention to detail and ability to follow paperwork and process, from stock control to reporting profit margins.
