About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Paid Search Manager to join our team at Assembly. As a Paid Search Manager, you will be responsible for managing the performance of paid search campaigns for clients, working closely with your team to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: You will lead a team of Senior and Account Executives, overseeing their work and nurturing their careers in paid search.
  • Campaign Management: You will work with your team to manage the account and deliver performance against client business objectives, in line with the strategy that you will help build with your line manager.
  • Quality Control: You will quality control the work produced by your direct team and provide constructive feedback as appropriate for their development.
  • Technology Utilization: You will fully utilise the available technology to deliver performance for clients.
  • Error Prevention: You will carry out daily diagnostics to ensure zero errors, manage risks and maintain consistent process adherence.
  • Insight Identification: You will find the insight that can help us fuel growth for clients, examining data and actionable insight identification and implementation.
  • Community Engagement: You will be an engaged member of the wider search community through internal team meetings, training & events.
  • Budget Management: You will be responsible for managing client's budget on platforms such as Google Ads and Microsoft Ads.
  • Client Partnership: You will help to foster partnership with clients and media owners.
  • Presentations and Meetings: You will own presentations and meetings with clients, delegating elements to your team.
  • Collaboration: You will collaborate with other teams in your assembly and department to deliver projects.
  • Client and Product Knowledge: You will develop client and product knowledge by proactively contributing to the search strategy using data and actionable insight.
  • Training: You will train team members.

Requirements
  • You never over-promise and under-deliver. Your work is to the highest standard, and always on time.
  • You are a self-starter with a passion for data and digital marketing.
  • Excellent paid search knowledge, with up-to-date certifications.
  • Operationally proficient with project management skills. You demonstrate a clear ability to manage multiple tasks and differing priorities, not only for yourself but for others.
  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office such as Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • An understanding of how to drive insights from data. You can focus on causation, not just correlation in data sets.
  • Evidence of being able to manage large multi-market clients and budget for Search.
  • Effective communicator. You will show an ability to be able to talk to clients about performance of accounts and optimisations.
  • Experience in line management and setting development plans for your direct reports.
  • Excellent knowledge of bid management platforms and other Paid Search technologies (Google Analytics, Google Marketing Platform, Search Ads 360, Adobe etc.).
  • You don't shy away from taking ownership for you and your team's output. You identify solutions to problems and are proactive to preventing issues.
