About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled BIM Co-ordinator to join our team at Dowds Group. As a key member of our MEP BIM Team, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining our BIM workflow, protocols, and standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement BIM workflows, protocols, and standards within the MEP BIM Team
  • Liaise and coordinate with other BIM Coordinators, internal delivery teams, and external design teams
  • Manage Revit project production and contents, including creation and maintenance of standard library objects
  • Produce construction-level drawing information for use on live sites
  • Evaluate and communicate Dowds Group procedures, standards, and workflows to project teams
  • Act as BIM Coordinator (MEP Engineering) for major projects
  • Provide day-to-day BIM technical support to delivery teams
  • Travel to live sites to carry out 3D scanning duties
  • Survey MEP installations on live sites
Requirements
  • Able to demonstrate ability to undertake responsibilities
  • Ideal candidate has minimum 2 years experience working as CAD/Revit Technician for Building Services on medium/large scale projects in Autodesk Revit
  • In-depth knowledge of Autodesk Revit and Navisworks, with experience of creating search sets, running clash detection, and producing clash reports
  • Experience working with CAD Packages, i.e., AutoCAD
  • Excellent organisational skills and communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to manage sensitive and often confidential information
  • Self-motivated and able to take responsibilities
  • Able to work independently on own initiative and as part of a team both internally and externally to meet deadlines
