About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Clinical Psychologist to join our team at Birmingham & Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide clinical input to our Home Treatment Team, working with service users who have severe and enduring mental health problems.

You will be responsible for providing comprehensive psychological assessments and formulations, as well as clinical support and guidance to our teams via consultancy, formulation development, and staff supervision. Your expertise will also be invaluable in supporting the development of our psychological services across the acute and urgent care pathway.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality clinical input to our Home Treatment Team, including psychological assessments and individual and group-based treatments.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Supervise and train junior psychologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Contribute to the development of our psychological services, including the implementation of new initiatives and projects.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A British Psychological Society accredited Doctoral Level postgraduate professional training course in clinical psychology.
  • Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience of working at Band 8a level or higher.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

We offer a competitive salary package, including an estimated £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. Our team provides a supportive and inclusive work environment, where you can grow your career and make a real difference in the lives of our service users.
