About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Signal Design Engineer to join our Consultancy Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of traffic engineering projects across the UK, in accordance with current national/local standards, guidance, and best practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver traffic signal projects, ensuring compliance with UK standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with our customers to understand their needs and provide innovative solutions.
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with traffic engineering projects.
  • Travel to site visits and customer meetings, with overnight stays where necessary.
  • Prepare technical reports and specifications, as well as consultancy/design quotations.
Requirements
  • High level of communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and manage workload effectively.
  • Technical understanding of traffic signal design fundamentals and UK standards/specifications.
  • Experience with traffic engineering software, including AutoCAD and modelling software such as LinSig or Transyt.
  • Knowledge of traffic signal products and common industry systems, such as UTC or UTMC.
  • Experience undertaking Factory and Site Acceptance Testing.
