About the Role

Yunex Traffic is seeking a skilled Traffic Signal Design Engineer to join our Consultancy Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of traffic engineering projects across the UK in accordance with current national/local standards, guidance and best practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver traffic signal projects in accordance with ergonomic, economic and sustainable principles
  • Assess and mitigate risks associated with traffic engineering projects
  • Travel to site visits and customer meetings with overnight stays where appropriate
  • Prepare technical reports and specifications
  • Prepare consultancy/design quotations

Requirements

  • High level of communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to solve complex problems
  • Ability to achieve objectives with strict deadlines and manage your own workload
  • Technical understanding of traffic signal design fundamentals and UK standards/specifications
  • Experience in the use of traffic engineering software including AutoCAD, preferably with KeySignals, and modelling software such as LinSig or Transyt
