Senior Technical Safety Specialist

Wood is seeking a highly experienced Technical Safety Engineer to support the implementation of projects in line with company objectives.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry and deliver safety studies to ensure that projects and change proposals are compliant with project requirements and regulatory obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of projects in line with company objectives, including continuous improvement of customer satisfaction, schedule, and safety performance.
  • Deliver safety studies to ensure compliance with project requirements and regulatory obligations.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines and sections to meet delivery dates.
  • Ensure quality control requirements and quality assurance for engineering work.
  • Develop and implement design safety and environmental requirements, procedures, and responsibilities for others.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an appropriate engineering subject.
  • Highly experienced engineer with a sound technical background and expertise.
  • Experience in the use of appropriate codes of practice, standards, and relevant sections of statutory documentation.
  • Highly experienced in the use of design and assessment methods used within the discipline.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive approach.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
