Salary
The estimated annual salary for this role is £55,000-£65,000, depending on experience.
Job Description
As a Strategic Planning Manager, you will be part of a team responsible for ensuring continuity of mineral reserves and land by negotiating land rights and obtaining Planning Permissions. This role covers both new development and maintenance of rights and permissions for existing operations in Northern England and North Wales. Your work will focus on the management of planning applications and EIAs, with occasional involvement in land management aspects.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate land rights and obtain Planning Permissions.
- Manage planning applications and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs).
- Collaborate with external specialists, regulators, neighbours, and other stakeholders.
- Provide advice to operational colleagues on compliance with existing planning permission.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Relevant previous experience of the practical and legal aspects of the Planning process in England and Wales and Environmental Impact Assessment.
- Excellent written and spoken communication and organisational skills.
- Strong self-management and a commitment to building and maintaining key skills.
