Job Title: Financial Assistant

Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum

About the Role:

Oasis Business Personnel Ltd is seeking an experienced Financial Assistant to join our team in Northampton. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with the finance team to prepare weekly and monthly management accounts.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the Sales and Purchase Ledgers, manage cashbook transactions, resolve queries, and perform reconciliations.
  • Support internal audits for assigned depots.
  • Provide business support, ensuring deadlines and timescales are consistently met.
  • Conduct weekly calls with depots to review and maintain accurate forecasting and budgeting.
  • Assist in preparing wage journals and manage agency staff purchase orders (POs).
  • Ensure all financial processes adhere to fiscal, legal, and group compliance frameworks.

Requirements:

  • Part-qualified or qualified by experience (QBE), or actively pursuing ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or AAT certification.
  • Proven experience in a similar finance role.
  • Proficient in IT, with strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey key information effectively to colleagues and internal/external stakeholders.
