We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ward Technician to join our Domestic Services team at the Royal Hospital for Neuro-disability. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality food and beverage services, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and ensuring a clean and comfortable environment for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide excellent food and beverage services to patients, including meal preparation, presentation, and delivery.
- Maintain kitchen hygiene and cleanliness, adhering to strict health and safety standards.
- Ensure all food temperatures are recorded and stored correctly, in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Check, sort, distribute, and store clean clothing belonging to patients in personal wardrobes/drawers.
- Work collaboratively with the catering department to ensure seamless food delivery and service.
- Participate in mandatory training and adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
- Report any accidents, near misses, or unsafe situations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Treat patients, visitors, and staff with dignity and respect.
- Ability to contribute to the Domestic Services/organisational aims and objectives.
- Engage with the RHN IPR process to identify personal and development training needs.
- Conduct self in a professional manner towards all service users and management.
- Understand the importance of ensuring confidentiality at all times, in accordance with data protection, hospital policy, and good practice.
- Be reliable, willing, and conscientious, with the ability to work flexibly, either individually or as part of a team.
- Excellent customer service, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Punctuality and a good timekeeper.
