Job Title: Ward Pharmacist Technician

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Ward Pharmacist Technician to join our team at Mediplacements. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical pharmacy services to a sub-speciality within the Emergency and Integrated Care Division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review prescriptions for accuracy and legality
  • Clinically screen and supply medicines suitable for use as an inpatient and appropriately labelled for discharge
  • Monitor and review therapeutic use of medicines
  • Ensure the effective outcomes of treatment with medicines
  • Monitor patients for potential and actual adverse effects of their medicines
  • Support the planning of patient discharge with respect to medication
  • Ensure safe, clinically effective, and cost-effective use of medicines
  • Demonstrate professional accountability to patients
  • Support the provision of an efficient, safe, and legal dispensing service in the Dispensary as required
  • Promote professional standards in the dispensary by acting as a role model to other pharmacists and technicians
