Job Opportunity: Air Import Operator

We are seeking a highly skilled Air Import Operator to join our team at the Birmingham location. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth movement of air freight, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and build relationships with clients to ensure a high level of customer service
  • Ensure timely movement of air freight with accurate documentation
  • Arrange haulage with shipping lines and ensure all necessary documents are in place
  • Invoice and check air freight prior to dispatch
  • Resolve requests and queries quickly and efficiently
  • Communicate effectively with overseas agents, customers, and suppliers
  • Utilize customer ERP and SAP systems as required

Requirements:

  • Experience in air imports freight forwarding
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Strong numerical and commercial skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, with experience in Cargowise a plus
  • Proactive, team-oriented individual with excellent time management and organization skills
