Supporting Children's Mental Health in a Mainstream Primary School Environment

Teaching Personnel is seeking a qualified professional to support the mental health and wellbeing of children in a reputable Primary School in Chorley. The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCO to provide individual and small group support to pupils who require additional SEMH support.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Liaising with external agencies to provide comprehensive support to children
  2. Providing individual and small group support to children in need
  3. Liaising with class teachers to ensure effective communication and support
  4. Delivering 1:1 sessions in the classroom and intervention rooms

Requirements:

  • Qualification up to Degree level
  • Ability to build strong relationships with children and families
  • Commitment to inclusion and understanding of individual child needs
  • Dynamic and resilient approach to supporting children

Working Hours: 8:45-15:30, with some flexibility for staff meetings

Competitive Rates of Pay: £350-£450 per week

Teaching Personnel's Commitment: We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. We undertake safeguarding checks on all workers and provide free child protection and prevent duty training.
