Job Overview

The North Bristol NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to take on a strategic leadership role in our Emergency Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care by Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACPs).

Main Responsibilities
  • Strategic Leadership
    • Provide professional leadership for the strategic direction of all ACP activity within the Emergency Department.
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the effective delivery of care.
    • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure seamless care pathways.
  • Clinical Supervision
    • Provide clinical supervision and guidance to ACPs and Trainee ACPs (tACPs).
    • Develop and implement training programs to ensure the ongoing development of ACPs.
  • Education and Training
    • Work in partnership with higher and further education institutes to ensure the delivery of educational programs that meet the needs of patients and the organization.
    • Represent North Bristol NHS Trust in Tripartite meetings between NBT and UWE.
  • Leadership and Quality Improvement
    • Identify and implement evidence-based best practice to improve patient care and outcomes.
    • Lead and participate in quality governance systems and processes across the organization.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse/Allied Health Professional (Valid with NMC)
  • RCEM Credentialled Advanced Clinical Practitioner for Adult +/- Children
  • Minimum of three years of Post-Credentialed Experience Working in an NHS Emergency Department

They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
