Key Responsibilities:
As an M-PACT Worker, you will be responsible for delivering the M-PACT program aimed at supporting families with children affected by parental substance misuse throughout the region.

  • Collaborate with partner organizations to:
    • Generate and receive suitable referrals for families.
    • Assess the eligibility of families for the M-PACT program.
  • Conduct regular M-PACT sessions across various locations annually.
  • Ensure high-quality service delivery to families.
  • Maintain family retention in the program.
  • Achieve successful outcomes for both children and their parents.
  • Complete program evaluations and documentation.
  • Implement effective case management practices, including meticulous record-keeping.
  • Safeguard vulnerable adults and children by identifying and reporting concerns to the appropriate authorities.
  • Identify and assess families suitable for the M-PACT program.
  • Participate in risk assessments for applicants.
  • Recruit, train, and support facilitators for the M-PACT program.
  • Maintain client files, case notes, and update the client database.
  • Facilitate family conferences involving clients, caregivers, and family members.
  • Ensure clients exiting the program have agreed upon plans for ongoing care and support.
  • Identify safeguarding issues and report them accordingly.
  • Attend progress reviews and staff support sessions.
  • Engage in personal and professional development activities.
  • Liaise with relevant professionals and stakeholders.

Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with:

  • Experience working with families in community or residential care settings.
  • Skills in conducting needs and risk assessments.
  • Experience facilitating groups and workshops.
  • Knowledge of the 12-step program.
  • Understanding of motivational enhancement and cognitive-behavioral techniques.
  • Empathy towards clients while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Strong organizational skills in record-keeping compliant with data protection laws.
  • Commitment to confidentiality in all aspects of work.
  • A proactive approach to continuous learning and development.
  • An open and non-judgmental attitude towards clients and their families.
  • Familiarity with child/adult safeguarding protocols.
  • Experience using electronic case management systems.
  • Ability to assess client needs and refer them to appropriate services.
