About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Sunday Deputy Manager to join our team at Dorothy House. As a key member of our retail team, you will be responsible for supporting the store manager and ensuring the smooth operation of our Moorland Road store.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for our customers.
  • Manage and motivate a team of volunteers to achieve sales targets and maintain high standards of customer service.
  • Ensure efficient stock control and rotation of all stock, maintaining a well-organized and visually appealing store environment.
  • Support with the training and development of volunteers, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge to provide excellent customer service and maintain high standards of cleanliness and tidiness.
  • Identify and recommend areas for improvement, contributing to the growth and success of our retail operation.
  • Deliver accurate and proper financial procedures, banking, and administration as required by Dorothy House.
  • Participate in education, training, development, and appraisal, and attend meetings as required.

Requirements

  • Good standard of Maths and English.
  • Strong team worker with the ability to motivate a team.
  • Excellent prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Customer-focused with an energetic and enthusiastic attitude.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience working in retail or charity shop environments.
  • Experience within a management role.
  • Full UK driving license with access to a vehicle.
