We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Bannview House, a modern and purpose-built Nursing Home. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their wellbeing and comfort.

As a member of our frontline team, you will be responsible for delivering personalized care, assisting with activities of daily living, and providing emotional support and companionship to our residents. You will work collaboratively with our nursing team, wellbeing staff, families, and external healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and person-centred care.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist qualified staff with care plans, tasks, and activities to support the wellbeing, dignity, and treatment of residents.
  • Participate in activities, motivating and supporting residents to get involved.
  • Assist residents with eating, drinking, washing, dressing, and going to the toilet.
  • Assess and observe the emotional and physical wellbeing of residents, recognizing changes and reporting as necessary in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records, communicating effectively with residents and their families.
  • Undertake any other duties that may be reasonably required as designated by the Home Manager.
