Position Summary

We are currently looking for a seasoned Mechanical Lead Engineer to take charge of our Gas Projects division. In this pivotal role, you will oversee mechanical engineering activities related to gas projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards while leading a team of engineers to achieve successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, providing support and guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Supervise the design and development of mechanical systems and components for gas projects, ensuring alignment with project specifications and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers and electrical engineers, to ensure the integration of mechanical engineering activities with overall project goals.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to guarantee timely and successful project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, regulations, and best practices in mechanical engineering for gas projects.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure the safety and reliability of mechanical systems.
  • Review and validate mechanical engineering designs, drawings, and documentation for accuracy and adherence to specifications.
  • Provide technical support to the sales team during the pre-sales phase, including technical proposals and feasibility studies.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in mechanical engineering and implement innovative practices to enhance project efficiency.
Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within the gas sector.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems design, construction, and commissioning.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.
  • Demonstrated project management expertise, including budgeting and scheduling.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a detail-oriented approach.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Professional engineering certification or membership is advantageous.
  • Experience in the energy or power industry is a plus.
