Mechanical Engineering Lead

AVK-SEG Ltd is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Lead to drive innovation and ensure product integrity in our Engineering Design Team.
This role involves leading and coordinating mechanical engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Key responsibilities include:
Project Management: Oversee mechanical engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery, budget management, and quality control.
Team Leadership: Supervise a team of mechanical engineers and technicians, providing guidance, mentorship, and support throughout the project lifecycle.
Design and Development: Conceptualize, design, and develop mechanical systems, components, and products using CAD software and other tools.
Analysis and Testing: Conduct analysis, simulations, and testing to evaluate the performance, reliability, and safety of mechanical designs.
Problem Solving: Identify engineering challenges, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions to optimize mechanical systems and processes.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment of mechanical designs with overall project objectives.
Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, codes, regulations, and best practices in mechanical engineering.
Documentation: Create technical documentation, reports, and specifications detailing design requirements, methodologies, and outcomes.
Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and advancements in mechanical engineering, and integrate innovative practices to enhance project outcomes and efficiency.
Client Interaction: Engage with clients, understand their requirements, address concerns, and foster strong relationships to facilitate successful project delivery.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in mechanical engineering, with a focus on design, analysis, and project management.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools for design and analysis.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret technical data, perform calculations, and make informed decisions.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead teams and collaborate across departments.
Solid understanding of mechanical principles, materials science, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and other relevant engineering disciplines.
Knowledge of industry standards and regulations governing mechanical design and manufacturing processes.
Experience with project management methodologies, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Creative problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming engineering challenges.
