We are collaborating with a prestigious global private sector organization seeking to appoint an Employee Relations Specialist (on-site). This role is offered as a six-month contract with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent position.

The position is intended for immediate commencement on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is negotiable, with a fixed-term salary ranging from £35,000 to £40,000 per annum (pro rata and also negotiable).

The successful candidate will possess substantial employee relations expertise, demonstrating the capability to 'hit the ground running'.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offering guidance and support to management and staff on employee relations issues, including performance challenges, misconduct, absence management, and flexible working arrangements.
  • Conducting thorough investigations, hearings, and appeals in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures, ensuring fairness and consistency throughout.
  • Assisting in the application of the Absence Management policy by coaching line managers to implement necessary actions.
  • Preparing and drafting correspondence, reports, and other documentation related to employee relations cases.
  • Facilitating the establishment of an Employee Relations database, monitoring trends and data, identifying areas for enhancement, and proposing solutions to the People Relations Manager.
  • Designing and delivering training and coaching sessions for managers and employees on employee relations topics.
  • Contributing to the review and revision of employee relations policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with employment law and best practices.

Required Experience, Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise:

  • Extensive experience in Employee Relations is essential.
  • Proven track record in managing Employee Relations casework and investigations (low to medium risk).
  • CIPD level 5 qualification is desirable.
