Position Overview: As a Senior Engineer specializing in HVAC systems, you will play a pivotal role in the conceptualization, feasibility analysis, front-end engineering design (FEED), and comprehensive engineering for HVAC systems in both Greenfield and Brownfield projects. Your expertise will span across various sectors including Carbon Capture, Hydrogen, Pharmaceuticals, Chemicals, and Oil & Gas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct independent and collaborative work within a high-performing team to execute diverse assignments.
  • Perform design calculations and develop specifications and datasheets for HVAC systems.
  • Coordinate HVAC system designs with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated and optimal solutions.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure project deliverables are met within budget and timelines.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess a master’s or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related discipline, coupled with a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience in similar industries. A strong grasp of HVAC regulations, codes, industry standards, and engineering practices is essential for designing and optimizing HVAC systems while ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and security requirements.

You will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and verifying HVAC engineering design documentation, which includes:

  • Technical specifications
  • Control philosophies
  • System philosophies
  • Basis of design
  • HVAC and LEV calculations
  • Datasheets
  • System layouts
  • Ductwork design

Additionally, candidates should be working towards or have obtained Chartered accreditation with the IMechE.
