This position offers a unique opportunity to significantly influence several pioneering projects and contribute to the advancement of the sectors we serve.
In the role of Lead HVAC Systems Engineer, you will engage in conceptual design, feasibility assessments, front-end engineering design (FEED), and detailed engineering for HVAC systems across various projects, including Carbon Capture, Hydrogen, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, and Oil & Gas industries. Additionally, you will provide support for our Nuclear initiatives with site assessments as necessary.
Your responsibilities will include working autonomously while also collaborating with a high-performing team to execute diverse tasks, such as design calculations and the development of specifications and datasheets for HVAC systems. Applicants should hold a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline, with a minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience. A comprehensive understanding of HVAC regulations, codes, industry standards, and engineering practices is crucial for designing and optimizing HVAC systems while ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental, and security standards. You will prepare, verify, and review HVAC engineering design documentation, including technical specifications, control philosophies, system philosophies, basis of design, HVAC and LEV calculations, datasheets, system layouts, and ductwork designs. Furthermore, we are looking for candidates who have achieved or are pursuing Chartered accreditation with the IMechE.
In return, you will engage in innovative projects that present both creative and technical challenges. You will be part of a supportive work environment that promotes skill enhancement and career progression, allowing you to contribute to projects with significant social and environmental implications.
