Job Title: HVAC Systems Engineer

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Systems Engineer to join our team. As an HVAC Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing HVAC systems to ensure compliance with client and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and optimize HVAC systems to meet client and regulatory requirements.
  2. Prepare and review HVAC engineering design documentation, including technical specifications and system layouts.
  3. Provide technical direction to engineering disciplines and project personnel.
  4. Conduct site surveys to develop HVAC system designs.
  5. Ensure HVAC design drawings and documents are completed within allocated hours and schedule.
  6. Perform load and energy calculations to determine HVAC system requirements.
  7. Collaborate with architects and engineers to integrate HVAC systems into building designs.
  8. Conduct energy audits and propose retrofit solutions for existing HVAC systems to improve efficiency.
  9. Participate in research and development activities for advanced HVAC technologies and sustainable practices.

Requirements:

  1. Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
  2. A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in similar industries.
  3. Obtained or working towards Chartered accreditation with the IMechE.
  4. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build effective relationships.
  5. Effective problem-solving and analytical mindset, particularly in thermodynamics and fluid dynamics relevant to HVAC systems.
  6. Knowledge of energy efficiency and sustainability practices in HVAC system design.
  7. Experience with the installation, testing, and commissioning of HVAC systems.
  8. Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit MEP) and BIM (Building Information Modelling) processes and tools.
