Exciting Opportunity for a Deputy Manager in Children's Residential Care
Barnardo's, the UK's largest Children's Charity, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our Leicestershire Residential Team. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Registered Manager in delivering high-quality care to children and young people in our residential homes.
About the Role
- Build strong relationships with service users, parents, and carers to promote independence, wellbeing, and social-emotional skills.
- Lead shifts and conduct staff supervisions to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
- Support the Registered Manager with audits, quality standards, and safeguarding policies.
- Contribute to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with OFSTED regulations and quality standards.
Requirements
- Hold a Level 3 qualification relevant to Residential Childcare or be willing to work towards the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People's services.
- Have at least 1 year of supervisory and shift leader experience in a Children's Residential setting.
- Knowledge and experience of working with OFSTED Regulations and Quality Standards of Children's homes.
- Ability to support the Registered Manager in achieving a rating of outstanding.
