Employment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Employment Specialist to join our team at Southdown Housing Association. As an Employment Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with mental health conditions to secure sustainable paid employment.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of clients in structured treatment for varied mental health issues to assist them in securing employment.
- Deliver the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model, providing person-centred guidance to clients and building positive relationships with local employers.
- Work as part of the Secondary Mental Health Care team in the adult treatment service, maintaining positive and integrated relationships and fostering a holistic approach to recovery through employment.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to adapt your approach to meet the differing needs of clients.
- A strong understanding of the importance of work in the lives of individuals with mental health conditions.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and build positive relationships with local employers.
