Fortem Cares is excited to announce an opportunity for an experienced Community Engagement Officer to enhance our operations. This role is pivotal in fostering relationships with residents and ensuring their needs are met effectively. The successful candidate will be based in a designated area, with responsibilities extending across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
The Community Engagement Officer will be tasked with the following duties:
• Collaborate closely with resident representatives to address concerns and feedback.
• Work alongside site management to ensure seamless project execution.
• Keep resident representatives informed about project timelines and updates.
• Document and communicate any resident refusals regarding project access or work.
• Handle daily inquiries and concerns from residents, ensuring all complaints are logged.
• Monitor and respond to electronic communications from stakeholders as necessary.
• Maintain a detailed log of visits to properties, noting resident feedback and project progress.
Required Qualifications
Candidates must meet the following essential criteria:
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience in a customer-facing role.
• Capacity to manage sensitive situations with professionalism.
• Resilience and effective negotiation skills.
• Proven problem-solving capabilities.
• Valid driving license.
• Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Relevant certifications such as SSS and CSCS are advantageous.
Desirable Attributes
While not mandatory, the following attributes are considered beneficial:
• Previous experience in social housing.
• Understanding of diversity and inclusion issues.
• Certifications such as SMSTS and Scaffold Inspection.
