Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Supervisor with a strong background in electrical and mechanical equipment systems to lead our maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership skills, a solid understanding of electrical systems, and experience in maintenance management.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 4 Maintenance Engineers to execute effective troubleshooting and planned preventative maintenance routines to prolong the useful life and optimize efficiency of our production and facilities equipment.
- Ensure minimum response times to equipment breakdown and provide maintenance cover for production areas at all times.
- Make decisions under pressure and ensure that planned preventative maintenance is carried out correctly in a timely manner.
- Manage day-to-day maintenance spending in line with the Site Services budget.
- Train and develop maintenance staff to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties effectively.
- Travel to support our other sites around England as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an electrical and mechanical maintenance role within a commercial manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and the ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical diagrams.
- Experience of installation and maintenance of various electro-mechanical equipment/systems.
- Hold at least level 3 City & Guild building services 'electrical installation route' and/or Level 3 Diploma in Installation of Electrotechnical systems & equipment.
- Hold 18th Edition certification.
- Experience of working within and leading a diverse workforce.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Professional, honest, and integrity-driven.
- Experience working with a CMMS.
- IT literate, particularly in MS Office applications.
- Good understanding of LOLER/PUWER regulations.
- A knowledge and understanding of relevant health and safety regulations.
