About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team at CAMHS North. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality psychological assessments and interventions to children and young people with complex mental health needs.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in child and adolescent mental health, with experience of working with a wide range of presentations and severities. You will be able to work autonomously, as well as part of a team, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality psychological assessments and interventions to children and young people with complex mental health needs.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to develop and implement care plans that meet the needs of children and young people.
  • Provide clinical supervision to junior staff and trainees.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of service quality monitoring and evaluation.
Requirements
  • Relevant postgraduate training and professional registration as a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist.
  • Post-doctoral training in one or more additional specialized areas of psychological practice.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with complex mental health needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
