Research Associate in Digital Hydraulic Fluid Power

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Associate to join our team and contribute to the design and development of digital hydraulic fluid power technologies and control systems.
About the RoleThis is a fixed-term position with an expected end date of 1st September 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality research on the topic, including designing and modelling of digital hydraulic fluid power technologies, prototyping, validating and evaluating digital hydraulic converters, and digital fluid power system integration and experimental validations.
Key Responsibilities- Design and model digital hydraulic fluid power technologies
- Prototype, validate, and evaluate digital hydraulic converters
- Integrate and experimentally validate digital fluid power systems
- Stimulate and create pathways to impact and disseminate research outcomes and promote the exploitation of new technologies
- PhD degree in a subject area of direct relevance for the project
- Previous experience in one or more of the following: modelling, design, control, or prototyping of fluid power components and systems
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Self-motivated and excellent communication skills
