Research Associate in Superconducting Power Devices for Electric Aircraft

We are seeking an exceptional Research Associate to contribute to our team working on superconducting power devices for net-zero aviation. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for leading the design of superconducting power devices for electric aircraft, including superconducting fault current limiters, superconducting cables, and superconducting rotating machines.
This is an exciting opportunity in the electrification of aviation, requiring you to collaborate with academic and industrial partners. You will assist in the delivery of project work packages, undertaking research activities under the guidance of the principal investigator.
Your focus will be on superconducting power devices and cryogenic cooling systems for electric aircraft applications.
About You- You will have a PhD (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a relevant area.
- Prior expertise in designing large-scale superconducting power devices is essential.
- You will have skills in finite element modeling and experimental characterization of superconducting power devices.
- Knowledge of cryogenic cooling systems and thermal design is a plus.
