Product Safety Engineer

Job Title: Principal Product Safety Engineer
Location: Flexible working arrangements available, with options for hybrid and remote work. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarine roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
Salary: Negotiable dependant on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on product safety matters to project and engineering managers, ensuring safety considerations are correctly considered and implemented.
- Engage with third parties to review and gather supporting safety case evidence.
- Develop safety arguments, using appropriate safety analyses methods, and produce and update safety case and safety management documentation.
- Line manage other safety practitioners.
Requirements:
Essential:
- Strong understanding of safety engineering processes, practices, and tools.
- Clear understanding of safety engineering & assurance principles.
- Experience and qualified engineers from other disciplines who display the correct behaviours and have an understanding of safety engineering, will actively be considered for this role.
Desirable:
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact and manage stakeholders.
