Opportunity for Community Nurse Leadership

We are seeking a dedicated nurse to take on a pivotal role within our Community & RADS Team. This position is integral to our mission of providing compassionate care to individuals with complex or terminal conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safe handling and administration of medications in compliance with regulations.
  • Act as a patient advocate at all times.
  • Provide support to families and caregivers before and after a patient’s passing, collaborating with other agencies as necessary.
  • Engage in the training and education of both professional and non-professional staff alongside the education department.
  • Mentor students from educational institutions during their clinical placements.
  • Assist the Community Sister in leading and developing the community team, fostering effective communication and a positive team environment through regular meetings.
  • In the absence of the Community Sister, ensure adequate staffing levels to maintain service continuity.
  • Collaborate with the Community Sister and Head of Community Services to recruit, train, and support staff in alignment with organizational policies.
  • Conduct performance appraisals and reviews as required.
  • Oversee the daily health, safety, and welfare of staff, patients, and families.
  • Ensure staff receive appropriate training to perform their duties effectively.
