Cell Press is seeking an experienced Senior Scientific Editor to lead the editorial direction and content of the "Cell Reports" journal. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape scientific discourse and ensure the publication of high-quality, impactful research.

Responsibilities
  • Recruit and assess submitted research papers.
  • Select and collaborate with referees.
  • Engage authors throughout the review process and provide exceptional author service.
  • Commission and edit perspective articles, and other front matter writing and editing content for the journal homepage and social media outlets.
Requirements
  • Hold an accredited PhD in a relevant scientific discipline.
  • Have previous editorial experience.
  • Display broad scientific interests and critical thinking skills.
  • Be an exceptional communicator, verbal and written, including English.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a global team.
