Redwood is seeking a highly skilled Scientific Editor to join their team in London. As a Scientific Editor, you will play a crucial role in editing scientific and technical manuscripts, collaborating with the wider scientific community, and evaluating content for our STM journals.
Key Responsibilities:- Copyedit manuscripts for language and readability
- Check factual content and address queries
- Assess authors' responses to edits and editorial comments
- Participate in the peer review process, including identifying plagiarism issues
- Collaborate with internal teams and the scientific community
- PhD in the life sciences (essential)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage high-quality work under tight deadlines
- Capacity to maintain scientific knowledge relevant to the role
- Strong IT skills
- Desirable: editorial or publishing experience
