Principal Maintenance Technician

Your Role
At Tridonic, a key player in the Zumtobel Group's electronics manufacturing sector, we are in search of a Senior Maintenance Technician to join our team. This position is essential for ensuring the reliability and compliance of our production machinery and equipment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Oversee the preventive maintenance (PM) system, ensuring adherence and compliance from the team.
- Lead two predictive maintenance initiatives annually aimed at minimizing downtime.
- Provide guidance and direction to technicians across various departments to achieve targeted objectives.
- Demonstrate leadership capabilities by managing a team of eight technicians, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Respond promptly to emergencies and equipment failures to mitigate disruptions in production.
- Implement and uphold a structured maintenance program, maintaining comprehensive records to identify and resolve recurring issues.
- Ensure tools and repair equipment are maintained in optimal condition.
- Support daily operational activities within the organization.
- Fill in for process technicians during absences to guarantee maintenance schedules and production support align with business requirements.
- Evaluate team performance and provide constructive feedback, contributing to annual performance reviews.
- Act as Deputy Team Leader when necessary and participate in succession planning.
Your Profile
To excel in this role, you will need:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven leadership experience with effective team management capabilities.
- Proficiency in IT tools, particularly Excel and Word.
- A self-driven, solution-focused mindset capable of thriving under pressure and meeting deadlines.
- A practical approach with a positive attitude, committed to ongoing personal and professional development.
- A solid understanding of quality and engineering processes.
- A mechanical and/or electrical engineering qualification at HNC Level is advantageous.
