About the Role

As an Operations Manager at Amazon UK Services Ltd., you will play a critical role in driving operational excellence across our sites. You will lead a team of Area Managers and be responsible for creating the operational plan that helps your teams meet their targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a team of Area Managers to achieve operational excellence
  • Lead operational teams on a shift, addressing issues and positively impacting site performance
  • Analyse shift performance against relevant business objectives and implement actions to improve operational performance
  • Collaborate with support teams, including HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security
  • Design and deliver initiatives to improve operational performance across sites
A Day in the Life

You will lead shifts at one of our operational sites, serving as the key link between various teams, including finance, safety, and operations integration teams. Your day will involve meetings with different areas of the business, deep diving into performance and risk metrics, and mentoring and coaching your team to be the best managers they can be.

Basic Qualifications
  • A degree
  • Relevant experience in people and stakeholder management
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and intermediate proficiency in the local language
  • Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
  • Relevant experience in key areas of production and supply chains
Preferred Qualifications

While not required, experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques, as well as experience working with the MS Office suite, is preferred.
