About the Role
As an Operations Manager at Amazon UK Services Ltd., you will be responsible for leading a team of Area Managers and driving operational excellence across our sites. This key role is all about creating a seamless customer experience by ensuring efficient order fulfilment and dispatch.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and develop a team of Area Managers to achieve business objectives
- Lead operational teams on a shift, addressing issues and positively impacting site performance
- Analyse shift performance against relevant business objectives and implement actions to improve operational excellence
- Collaborate with support teams, including HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security
- Design and deliver initiatives to enhance operational performance
A Day in the Life
You will lead shifts at one of our operational sites, serving as a key link between various teams, including finance, safety, and operations integration. Your day will involve meetings with different business areas, deep dives into performance and risk metrics, and mentoring your team to achieve excellence.
Requirements
- A degree and relevant experience in people and stakeholder management
- Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and intermediate proficiency in the local language
- Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
- Relevant experience in key areas of production and supply chains
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, experience in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques, as well as working with the MS Office suite, is preferred.
