About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Amazon. As an Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team that ensures the efficient and safe operation of our logistics and transportation network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and implement a culture of safety and wellbeing within the team
  • Analyse and implement changes to improve quality and productivity
  • Oversee projects to streamline processes and improve customer service
  • Analyse shift performance and implement actions to improve operational excellence
  • Collaborate with management-level colleagues to standardise shift practices
A Day in the Life

You will work on a shift pattern at one of our sites, focusing on owning and driving a culture of safety and upholding quality and shift performance standards. You will also oversee process improvements within your area and drive implementation.

About the Team

You will be part of the Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team, which plays a central role in our success. Our team uses air, sea and road transport, as well as sortation centres equipped with the latest technology, to help Amazon's transport run at maximum efficiency.

Requirements
  • A degree
  • Relevant experience in people management
  • Relevant experience of communicating with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Relevant experience in using data to influence business decisions
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and local language
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with Lean, Six Sigma and Kaizen techniques
  • Experience working in another logistics environment
  • Relevant experience working with the MS Office suite
