Site Services Engineer - Mechanical

NRL Recruitment is seeking an experienced Site Services Engineer to join a world-leading, global Battery Manufacturing organisation based in the Northeast of England.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain primary building services, including compressed air, chilled water, and DI water plant, gas-fired steam boiler, and LTHW plant.
  • Oversee incoming utilities, including water, natural gas, and site drainage.
  • Develop and implement full lifecycle preventative maintenance strategies and schedules.
  • Ensure safe working procedures are in place, adhering to recognised industry standards and approved codes of practice.
  • Coordinate and manage external contractors, including contractor management.
  • Manage major breakdown incidents, restoration, and corrective maintenance.
  • Prepare and control annual Capex and Opex budgets.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • The Site Services Engineer may also be involved in new plant development activity, including:
  • Preparing mechanical services design specifications.
  • Implementing and managing Building and Energy Management Systems.
  • Project management and coordination, including project budget preparation and cashflow management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree, HNC/HND, or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Site / Building Services.
  • Electrical Engineering experience, including LV distribution and BMS system knowledge.
  • Demonstrable experience in a relevant site services or mechanical engineering role.
  • Knowledge of relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental compliance requirements.
  • Strong PC skills, including MS applications, MS Project, and AutoCad/ Revit or similar applications.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and presentation skills.
Desirable Requirements:
  • Knowledge and experience of ATEX, HAZOP, COMAH, LOLER, EPR, Legionella Management.
  • Experience of Fire Protection and Suppression systems.
  • Clean / Dry Room Production environment experience.
  • UK Driving licence holder.
