Event and Banqueting Associate Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Event and Banqueting Associate at the Glasgow Marriott Hotel. As a key member of our Conference and Banqueting department, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests and ensuring that every event is a memorable and unique experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure full product knowledge of all menu items and their service.
  • Confidently serve drinks from our Banquet Bar during dinner functions.
  • Maintain an elevated service standard within the Conference and Banqueting department.
  • Prepare coffee breaks, carts, and stations with appropriate food and beverages as stated in the Banquet Event Order brief.
  • Set rooms for events, preparing tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dining tables, coffee bars, full bar, etc.
  • Communicate additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen.
  • Respond to and fulfill any special banquet event arrangements and ensure buffet items are consistent and refreshed.
  • During dinner functions, assist in our banqueting bar and with drinks service.
  • Facilitate banqueting clients and manage every reasonable request to provide wonderful customer service and ensure guest satisfaction.

  • Flexibility, problem-solving skills, and multi-tasking ability.
  • The ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods of time across a work shift.
  • Previous experience in a similar hospitality setting preferred.
