Therapy Services Manager

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Adult Community team as a Community Specialist. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of expertise and a passion for delivering excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assess the functional needs of adults in their homes and in a community setting, in line with relevant legislation and policies.
- Manage a caseload of clients with complex needs, using evidence-based and client-centred principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions.
- Provide leadership for junior staff through supervision, competencies, and appraisal.
- Participate in the planning, development, and evaluation of Therapy services within a designated area/team, holding responsibility for defined projects.
- Contribute to the maintenance and development of the trust's Therapy service.
- Regularly supervise Occupational Therapy students on practice placements.
- Participate in rotations as assigned by your manager.

Person Specification- HCPC Registered or equivalent
- Good understanding of community OT
- Experience of working with unqualified assistant therapy staff
- Previous community experience (desirable)
- Knowledge and awareness of risk assessment (essential)
- Knowledge and commitment to equal opportunities (desirable)
