We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Volunteer Coordinator to join our team at Preston Youth Zone. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing a comprehensive volunteer program that supports the delivery of our services.
Your primary objective will be to establish a robust volunteer recruitment pathway, ensuring that volunteers are engaged and empowered to make a meaningful contribution to our organization. You will work closely with our delivery and operational teams to identify volunteer opportunities and develop a culture of volunteering that is valued and understood across the organization.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing a volunteer recruitment strategy that meets the needs of our organization
- Collaborating with our delivery and operational teams to identify volunteer opportunities and develop a culture of volunteering
- Creating a robust volunteer management system that tracks volunteer engagement and provides insights for future development
- Providing training and support to volunteers to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to make a meaningful contribution
- Developing and implementing a reward and recognition scheme that celebrates volunteers' successes
In the first two months of this role, you will also spend time on placement at another North-West based Youth Zone, gaining valuable experience and insights that will inform your work at Preston Youth Zone.
About YouWe are looking for an experienced and passionate Volunteer Coordinator who has a proven track record of developing and implementing successful volunteer programs. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire volunteers to make a meaningful contribution to our organization.
Key requirements include:
- Experience of volunteer management best practice, including developing and supporting a wide range of volunteering opportunities
- Developing and delivering training to small and large groups
- Managing successful relationships with colleagues, volunteers, and external partners
