Warehouse Operations Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at ForwardingJobs. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our warehouse, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team of warehouse operatives, providing guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of the warehouse.
- Work closely with first-line managers and senior staff to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure the accuracy of receipt and dispatch of goods, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
- Monitor and manage colleague performance, absence, and conduct, taking corrective action when necessary.
- Responsible for the health and safety of colleagues on site, implementing measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to optimize performance.
- Administer warehouse operations, including the use of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to track inventory and manage logistics.
Requirements
- Warehouse or logistics background, with previous experience in a supervisory role.
- Basic Microsoft Office literacy, with proficiency in using WMS systems.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and external partners.
