About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Warehouse Operations Manager. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse, ensuring the efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage a team of warehouse operatives, providing guidance and support to ensure the smooth operation of the warehouse.
  2. Work closely with first-line managers and senior leadership to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  3. Ensure the accuracy of receipt and dispatch of goods, maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
  4. Monitor and manage colleague performance, absence, and conduct, taking corrective action where necessary.
  5. Responsible for the health and safety of colleagues on site, implementing measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
  6. Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to drive efficiency and productivity.
  7. Administer warehouse operations, including the use of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to optimize inventory control and logistics processes.

Requirements

  1. Warehouse or logistics background, with previous experience in a supervisory role.
  2. Basic Microsoft Office literacy, with proficiency in using WMS systems.
  3. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with colleagues and external partners.
